Established in 2010 under the banner of “St. Teresa Christian Educational Society”, The Nest endeavours to make a difference to child’’s life with rapid changes in lifestyle among today’s Indians. It is important to strike a balance between age old traditions and modern day outlook. The school endeavours to create equilibrium by adopting the ancient technique of Gurukul education with a scientific edge besides taking care of ethics and moral values.
We, at “The Nest” believe that education is a continuous and creative process. Through proper guidance and counselling, encouragement and recognition, we try to bring the best in our children by encouraging them to show their talents, and develop their intellectual and creative interests. The children need to understand their own culture and history, as well as their own geographical, scientific and spiritual theories and language. The school’s academic environment is constructed in such a way that the children are able to develop their knowledge and interest in these areas in national and international context. ‘The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence’. Man has rightly been referred to as a social animal because he cannot survive in isolation and nor can he thrive in a chaotic society. The civilizing process is the brightest achievement of mankind and it is education which provides that cutting edge which segregates the ‘primitive’ from the ‘civilized’.
As educators and mentors we have a great responsibility entrusted on our shoulders to provide the progeny with an educational process which will enable them to become desired and amiable citizens of the world. Education in its true sense does not merely imply sharing facts and figures but imbibing in our children a culture which will stay with them as a way of life. As such it includes code of manners, language, norms of behavior and systems of belief. It is undoubtedly our culture-the social environment which helps in weaving the web of beautiful relations and brings out the ‘gold’ the ‘best’ in our personality.
It is in sync with this objective that we at The Nest strongly believe in strengthening the cultural roots of our children. It is no doubt essential to re-charge, re-invent and rejuvenate ourselves from time to time so that we remain in pace with the changing times, but dear readers remember a sapling can blossom into a healthy tree only if the roots are strong and healthy. So move ahead because ‘action and reaction’, ebb and flow, trial and error-this is the rhythm of living.
years of experience
The school was started in 2010, under the aegis of Bachpan Play School . The school began with a total strength of merely 12 students , but continued to increase with every passing year . The school flourished beautifully under Bachpan guidance for few years until there came a time to reinvent the scope of operations .
Feeling the constraint to upgrade and improvise the existing system , The Nest came into being and aimed at providing better infrastructure and pedagogy .
The Nest is today housed in a beautiful 2-storey building within lush green vicinity of Sector-71 .
The fully Air Conditioned building of the school provides a harmonious and enabling learning environment for the young learners . The building has exhaustive provisions for Children’s Garden , Outdoor Play Area , Creative Corner , A/V Room , The Banyan- Library, Activity Arenas , Learning Arenas etc.
The Nest has always prepared and brought forth young learners of immense potential and act as feeding branch for other formal schools. We aim to keep the flame of knowledge ignited with our stupendous journey on the path to success .
